Davison School Project-Surfaces Rendered Ltd
6 Class rooms, male and female toilets,a new staff room-5 weeks!
Surfaces Rendered Ltd supplied and fitted the 160 sheets of floor insulation along with the laying of 80 tonnes of screed over a floor area of 450m2.We then installed Komfort Komfire 75 and Komfire 100 metal stud partitioning (as per spec) along with the correct combination of standard, fire rated and sound bloc plasterboard to meet the correct fire ratings along with the 40db (on the Dn Tw scale) acoustic level thresholds. The upper boarding needed fire taping and all internal finished were jointed ready for decoration and the final pressure test. Finally, due to the upper walls being made from timber, the exterior render system needed to sustain the continual expansion and contraction associated with timber framed structures. For this we employed the use of a professional synthetic thin coat render system on a cement based carrier board (supplied by SAS Europe Ltd (www.SAS Europe.com) especially suited to a timber or metal stud background. All of the Drywall,Jointing,Metal Framing,Screeding and Rendering was completed in a 5 week time span pushing curing/drying times to the limit (but within the constraints of the materials).
